The Long Mynd (meaning 'Long Mountain' in Welsh) is a small, 10 mile long ridge of hills in Shropshire, England on the border with Wales.

With an elevation of over 500 metres at the top, only heathers and grasses are able to survive the often cold and windy conditions.
