Rudy John is an enthusiast in the Netherlands who has been practising bonsai for over 20 years. Originally a member of the Swiss Bonsai Federation, he is now an active member of the Dutch Bonsai Association in the section of 'Midden Nederland'

	FORSYTHIA variety unknown This Forsythia was taken as a cutting in 1984 from a shrub in Rudys garden. This picture was taken in the Spring of 2000 after 17 years of training.

Ginkgo biloba, (with child) In training since 1985, when I purchased the tree, just imported from Japan packed in sphagnum moss in a plastic bag. The picture on the left is taken in 1993 and on the right is the tree in August 2002.  35cm tall, width 27cm, trunk diameter at base is 4½cm, age 35 years.
